The photos in this gallery are from a short trip in November 2000. We camped one nigt in Kootenay National Park, British Columbia. The temperature dropped to about zero degrees F. The next night we camped at Mosquito Creek in Banff National Park, Alberta. The temperature dropped to minus 10 F. The Canadian Rockies are a real treat. This first page is from Kootenay National Park and the Lake Louise area of Banff. Page 2 will take you north on the Icefields Parkway for a few miles of spectacular mountain landscape. The dumpster with the picture of the grizzlies says "Keep Bears Wild". The message is also posted in French. Good quality bear-resistant trash barrels are located every few miles along the highway running through Kootenay, and the roadside was remarkably clean.  Kootenay is a very scenic park, but conditions were not very good for getting a lot of good photographs.
